Jesus Still Prays For God’s Love

Message from Ann Rollins, James Padgett’s grandmother. Found in, The Gospel of God’s Love,  on page 485. The next to last message in the book.

“Let me write a few lines tonight, as I have been listening to your conversation with some interest, and desire to say a few words that may encourage you both* to press forward to the goal which you have before you – a home in the Celestial Heavens and the acquirement of a nature divine. You will not be disappointed in your efforts; for when you long for the Love and receive portions of it, every experience of that kind will help you get even more, by creating in you an increased desire for it.

“You must never think that you have obtained this love in its fullness, permitting your longings to decrease after you feel that the Love has come to you in great abundance; for I must tell you that we in the Celestial Heavens know and realize that there is always more, beyond what we have obtained. Even the Master prays to the Father for an increase of this Love in his soul – and if you could see the evidence of the love that he possesses as we see it, you would probably think that nothing more could be obtained, or at least that no greater amount was needed.

“This fact of the endlessness of the Love is that which keeps us always striving for more; because as we recognize how each successive stage of our progress has brought us greater and greater happiness, we know – and I say ‘know’ – that what is beyond must mean an even greater happiness, and a nearer approach to the Father Himself. So I say, let not your strivings in the slightest particular decrease, and you will find that increased happiness will be yours.

“I will stop now, and with my love to you both, will say goodnight. Your loving grandmother, Ann Rolins”

*Dr. Leslie R. Stone often sat with Mr. Padgett when he was receiving messages from the angels. And after Padgett’s death in 1923, Dr. Stone worked tirelessly for many years by himself, transcribing and compiling these wonderful messages. Many people have discovered the Padgett messages and accept them as true; they have prayed for God’s Love and have made spiritual progress. We are exceedingly blessed to have these enlightening messaages to study and to learn how to develop our souls in God’s Divine Love. Amen

YOU Can Have Christ in You

From message in, The Gospel of God’s Love, page 172, by Jesus,

“…I know that I was sent by the Father to perform the mission which I performed, and that it was intended in the beginning that I should be anointed as the Christ, but this I did not know until after I became a man and was then told what my mission was by the angels and my own inner voice. My mother, father or brethren did not know, even after I had proclaimed my mission and showed the wonderful powers that had been given me, they did not believe in my mission, but thought I was beside myself, with the belief that I was the chosen one of the Father. The Bible shows this was their condition of mind.

So, while I am the Christ of the Bible, and the chosen instrument of the Father to make known the great truths which I have proclaimed, and which I proclaim through you, yet I am not the “only begotten son” of God in the sense in which it is usually accepted. And much less am I God. As I have said, there is only one God, and I am merely His son and teacher, sent to declare to humankind the bestowal of the gift of immortality and the way in which humans may obtain it.”

In a message from Mary, the mother of Jesus: “I come to you with all the  mother’s love of one who loved her dear son so much while on earth, and who suffered all the heart pangs which the cruel death of my beloved caused me – and with a love that has been purified by experience, and closeness to the Father.

“I come to you with this mother’s love, for you are the children of my Father, and you are also the brothers of my dear son, who is with you so much. Let your love for the Father increase, and also your love for the Master, he is the greaatest and dearest friend that you have in all the Celestial or spiritual heavens. I am in the Celestial Heavens, and I want to say that I am not in the condition or place that I am because I am his mother, but because of my own soul development.”

Everyone who prays for Divine Grace and develops their soul to its highest potential, has “Christ” in them. Amen

Pray, and Works Will Follow

Message from John the apostle, found in the Godpel of God’s Love, page 122.

“…I have been listening to your conversation, and the reading of the Sermon on the Mount given by the Master in days of long ago. When that sermon was delivered, we were not in condition of great spiritual development, and we did not understand its inner meaning. As to its literal meaning, we thought it was not intended for the practical affairs of life. I know that people think we were spiritually developed at that time, but I tell you this is not true. We were comparatively ignorant men, fishermen by occupation, and had no education above the ordinary working man of that time. And when Jesud called us to become his apostles, we were as much surprised, and hesitated as much as you did when the similar mission was declared for you.

Our knowledge came with our faith in the truths which the Master taught, and from our observation of the great power which he displayed, and also from the influence of the great love that he possessed. But if humankind believes that we easily understood the truths he taught, they are mistaken. Only after the descent upon us of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost did we fully appreciate the great truths that Jesus had been teaching.

However, we learned many things which humans of that time did not know, and our souls became developed to a large extent. In your conversation, you discussed the relative value of prayer and works, and did not agree with the preacher’s statement that works are the great things to develop mortals in their love and bring about happiness in the world, and that prayer is not of such importance.  Now let me say, as a spirit, and as a man who worked and prayed on earth, that of all the important things on earth for humans, who are seeking salvation and happiness and develoment of soul, prayer is the most important. Prayer brings from the Father, not only Love and blessings, but the condition of mind and intent that will cause mortals to do the great works that the preacher admonished people to engage in. Prayer is the cause of the power, and will enable mortals to do all the great works which will bring rewards to the doer, and happiness to the ones who are recipients of the works. Amen

Portrait of Jesus Described

Found in an out-of-print volume titled, Messages From Jesus and Celestials, from John the Apostle, describing the appearance of Jesus.

“While Jesus was a Jew, he was not what you would call a typical Jew in appearance any more than in other qualities, for he had that condition of soul that to a large extent fashioned his appearance. His eyes were a violet blue and his hair was light and inclined to auburn; his nose was prominent and somewhat long, his beard was the color of his hair, and worn not so long as was the custom of those days, and he never had a razor on his face. His forehead was not so very high or broad, but was well shaped and somewhat effeminate, and indicated that there was not great mental development, for I must say, that his knowledge was not the knowledge of the brain, but of the heart and soul. As everyone may know who acquire the proper soul development, the soul has a brain of its own which is used for the disclosure of knowledge which pertains to the spiritual truths. Mortals may not quite comprehend the meaning of this assertion, but I tell you that in certain circumstances and conditions the brain, or to be more exact, the mind of the natural human becomes entirely absorbed into the mind of the soul.

“So I say, it is not a correct conclusion to suppose that Jesus, because of having all the wonderful knowledge of the truths of God, his Father, as he prefered to call God – must have had a large development of those portions of the brain that is ordinarily displayed by a large or prominent forehead. His head, in fact, was not very large, but compact and beautifully shaped.

“He wore his hair parted in the middle and reaching to his shoulders, it was somewhat curly – a beautiful head of hair which seemed to be full of life. No artist has a correct conception of his appearance and no portrait or sculpture conveys a near likeness of him.

“But as the people realize how beautiful he was within, they can possibly in their own imaginations see a clearer conception of his appearance than any painted portrait  gives to them. The Master should be loved, but not worshiped, for he wants only God to be worshipped.”

All God’s children can become Born-Again through prayers for the Gift of Divine Love. Amen

Messages From Jesus and Celestials

One title, given to a book of messages received by James E. Padgett, from the angels, is the title of this Blog. In the 1970’s, after becoming acquainted with these wonderful messages, I observed a copy of them titled, “Book of Truths,” published in 1940.” (I have no evidence of that finding.) More recently, followers of these Celestial teachings, have endeavored to create more compilations of the Angels Messages. I received this impression from my angel guides; “The more of these teachings, we are moved by our love to publish, the more souls-seeking-truth will be likely to learn about the availability of God’s transforming Love.”

A friend of Mr. Padgett’s, Dr. Leslie R. Stone (a chiropractor) often sat with him when he was receiving messages from the spirits. After James Padgett died in 1923, dear Dr. Stone took on the huge responsibility of transcribing the writings (using pen and paper), so they could be published; an estimate of 2500 messages had been received.

In those days, even as now, spirit communication was not readily accepted as a valid source of information. Mr. Padgett, being a lawyer, could not let associates know about his mediumship (or he may have been fired). I’m hopeful that someday soon, spirit/mortal communication will become recognized as a way of learning more about life in the next dimension.

But, of course, there is a down-side to accepting input from spirits; too many spirits who influence mortals are Not Celestial Angels. Mortals attract spirit companions according to their spiritual condition. In order to receive guidance from higher spirits, people first need to work on developing their souls’ in God’s higher Love. This can only be accomplished by prayer and faith. Pray for God’s Love to flow into your soul; desire to be blessed by the Holy Spirit. Strive to reverse your negative attitudes, for they will interfere with your spiritual development.

All of the Divine Love a prayerful person receives into their soul, from their Heavenly Father, remains with them forever. Making a start on your pathway to becoming born-again in Love, even if difficult or confusing, is a necessary first step to take. Do not become discouraged or disheartened, because our Creator is the most dependable Source for helping us to find fulfillment in our lives. We reap what we sow, and even if we ‘believe’ we have sown good seeds (love and helpfulness) we will discover, through our experiences, whether or not that was true. I wish you blessings on your spiritual journey. Amen

New Testament Revelations

I have been reading the booklet, Matthew’s Gospel of Peace and Salvation, and felt inspired to include one of the referencs in Chapter 9, verse 13, from Jesus;

“John and I never preached together in the same place, for that would have defeated the very purpose of his own mission – to straighten the path for my subsequent coming. Not only this, but the tenor and substance of our teachings were very different. John preached repentance, and he meant repentance in the traditional sense of the word – a turning away from sin and error and renewed obedience to the law of Moses, with love to God and one’s neighbor, which leads to the condition of the perfect natural human. I also preached repentance, for I said, “Repent ye, for the Kingdom of God is at hand, believe in the glad tidings.”

“Now the meaning which I gave to the word repentance was not that which was implied by John, for I meant a turning anew to God and seeking for the Celestial Heavens through prayer; for I taught that the great gift of Immortality had been rebestowed upon humankind by the Heavenly Father in my person, and that the souls yearning for God’s Love and its seeking for this Love through earnest prayer was real repentance. And when I said, “I come not to call the righteous but the sinner to repent,” I meant that sinners could, by turning to God, receive the gift of the Divine Love as well as the righteous, for it was available to both. But alas, it was not the righteous but the sinner of my day who repented and sought God and this Love, while the righteous, or those who considered themselves righteous, refused in their self-satisfaction the great gift that was theirs for the asking.”

This gift of God’s Love is available to all souls everywhere. People have the free will to believe in what-so-ever they choose. However, if you want to learn spiritual truths, you need to turn to God and seek at-Onement with Him through prayers for Divine Love. Desire to come into alignment with God’s will. Ask to be blessed by the Holy Spirit. Have faith in the power of God’s omnipotence; our Creator knows our thoughts and intentions. God’s perfect laws govern the unfoldments of our daily living according to the pathways we choose to follow. Choose to accept God’s Gift of Divine Love. Amen

Offer of a Booklet “Matthew’s Gospel”

In the 1970’s, we attracted a group of souls-seeking-truth, who lived in community homes, worshiped together, had healing sessions, and studied the Angels messages. Working together we created a booklet titled, “Mattherw’s Gospel of Peace and Salvation,” it’s a Parallel to the first Gospel of the New Testament. We still have some of these in our home. They are not perfect, but I am offering them to anyone who is interested in having one, for the cost of postage and handling (I feel  $2.50/copy is fair). Send orders to: Kay Ann, 212 Dakota Ave., Santa Cruz, CA 95060.

This quote appears on the back cover of the booklet: “…As readers of the Bible will remember, and it is a truth, when Jesus was baptized and anointed, and also on the Mount of Transfiguration, the voice of God, as it is written, declared that Jesus was His well beloved Son and demanded of the people “Hear Ye Him.” Not to believe that he came to die on the cross, not to believe that his blood would bring about the atonement, not to believe in any vicarious atonement or that God in wrath demanded a sacrifice, but only “Hear ye him.” And Jesus in all his teachings never taught one of these things, but only the New Birth as I have explained it…”

Every person in the world, and in the universe, is a child of God. We have the privilege to receive the Substance of God’s Love into our souls through sincere and prolonged prayer. We get to decide how we want our life to unfold by the choices we make. If, or when one realizes they have made an unloving choice and if they want to change pathways, they can pray for, and receive, God’s help and mercy. We can ask for divine guidance and attract one, or more, of God’s ministering angels to be our guide, friend and protector.

Everything in the universe is governed by God’s perfect laws, whether you believe it or not. If you are finding life to be unsatisfying and/or unfulfilling, perhaps you have been making unloving choices. You can have the power to change your position and even the condition of your soul, if you pray to the Source of Love for help, guidance, Mercy and Love. God’s great Gift of Love can flow into your soul, if you want to become transformed into a divine person. It’s your free will choice to decide. Amen

Hear Ye Him, from Matthew

Found in, The Gospel of God’s Love, page 198, from Matthew, writer of the First Gospel of the New Testament.

“I desire to tell you of a truth which is important for humankind to know in order that they may find the way to their personal salvation. I am a divine spirit and inhabit the Celestial Heavens, where only those who have been transformed by the Grace of God’s Love into the very nature and essence of the Father can find habitation.

“I have only one truth to convey, and that is, “No mortal or spirit can possibly receive the full salvation that Jesus taught and exemplified, who does not become wholly possessed in their soul of the Divine Love of the Father.” The soul was not created with any of the divine attributes or qualities, but simply with those which may be called human, and which all mortals and spirits, who have not experienced the transformation, possess.

Jesus was not, at the time of his creation or appearance in the flesh, possessed of these divine attributes which are of the essence and nature of the Father, but only of the human attributes which belonged to the perfect mortal – that is the human who was the perfect creature as existed before the fall of the first parents before sin had entered into their souls and into the world of human existence.

“Jesus was, as regards his possibilities and privileges, just like the first parents prior to their fall (the loss of their potential to become divine) but differed from them in this: that Jesus embraced and made his own the privilege and hence became divine, while the first parents refused to embrace the privilege and lost, so remained mere human as they were created. While Jesus, by reason of his possession of God’s Divine Love became divine. Jesus was human and never became God. Jesus is preeminently the divine man and may rightfully be called the first best beloved son, having more of the Father’s Grace than other Celestial spirits. With this Love comes to him great power, glory and wisdom; we are honored to abide in his authority. And he is the same, when he comes to you to reveal these truths.

“As the voice on the mount said, “Hear Ye Him,” and I repeat to all who may have the privilege of reading this message, “Hear Ye Him, and when hearing, or reading, believe, seek and pray.” Amen

Laws of Rapport, continued

Found in The Gospel of God’s Love, page 356, fron John, the apostle.

“…This Law of Rapport and Communication (presented in the previous Blog) applies specifically to the capability of the brain when it’s being used or controlled by the mind of the person who owns that brain. But this law does not so absolutely apply to the relationship of mind and brain where the mind is that of a spirit and the brain that of a mortal. For in this case, the mind may take such complete control of the brain that the manifestations are not governed or limited by the specific experience which the brain may have had using its own mind. In this, as has been demonstrated by the work and experience of many human mediums, the minds of spirits have transmitted through the brains of mediums expressions in various languages and mathematical truths which such brains had no acquaintance with or experience in expressing.

“In these instances, the brain is used merely in the sphere of intellect, and the spirit who takes possession of that brain and uses it to express and make known its own knowledge, is doing no different than what the human mind, controlling its own brain could have done, had its brain been exercised in that direction. The capacity of the brain limits the power of the spirit to control it in the manner mentioned.

“But this law has a further phase: The greater the general experience of the brain in its exercise by the human mind, the more perfectly can the spirit control it. Other factors, such as mediumistic qualities and susceptibilities of the human to the control by spirits also play a role in the transference of thoughts. These same laws apply to the disclosure of truth and princilpes along the moral planes. A spirit cannot possibly use a mortal brain to convey or transmit moral precepts or truths which that brain is not capable of receiving. I do not mean that they must have had an acquaintance with some particulars of moral truth, or experience of using these precepts, but it must be, in its essential capacity, potentially able to transmit and receive these truths.”

If one is inerested in learning more about Rapport and Communication, I would like to suggest that soulful prayers and sincere desires to know the Truth be sent to the Creator Soul, Who answers all sincere prayers from a humble heart. Amen

Laws of rapport and Communication

Received from John, the apostle, through James Padgett, on Jan. 4, 1918. Found in, The Gospel of God’s Love, on page 354.

“…It may seem to you that if we control your brain and do not use or transmit your thoughts, but only thoughts which come from our minds, it would be immaterial what the nature of your thoughts might be; that as your brain is used by us merely as an instrument, we, having possession of your brain, would have the power to write anything we might desire. And upon a superficial glance at this assertion, it could be reasonably supposed to be true.

“But rapport and our ability to use your brain are governed by laws; and one of these laws is that a higher thought cannot be transmitted through a human brain which is not in condition that qualifies it to receive that thought – just as the brain, in matters pertaining to mere material knowledge, cannot receive and transmit a conception of some intellectual truth with which it has no acquaintance. A brain cannot be used by the mind of a human to make known or present a problem in geometry when that brain has never been used by that mind to acquire an acquaintance with or knowledge of the principles of geometry. This is an incomplete analogy, but may serve to illustrate what I mean.

“In the conception by the human mind of a truth-material or spiritual-the brain must have some familiarity with the subject in order to make known that concept. This is absolutely true where the idea or thought originates in the mind of a person who is using his own brain to formulate and manifest that thought. The mind may have a thought and knowledge of some branch of learning, yet if it never used the brain to put that kind of knowledge into concrete form, the brain may be unable to transmit it.

“In many of your material things of life, such as great inventions, the knowlwdge of these inventions may be in the mind for a long time before it is formulated and expressed by the brain, and sometimes never gets through the brain at all. The mind and the brain are not one and equivalent things; one is the operator, and the other is the thing used to operate with, in order that the possessions of the operator may become manifested to others. To be continued…
