The “Spirit” of God

I was looking thought the book, The Gospel of God’s Love, and read some of the message titled, The “Spirit” of God, and thought I had created a Blog from it previously. I wasn’t able to find a file-card with that title, so I decided I’d be able to find spiritual information in it that would be helpful for prayerful souls seeking truth.

“Just because humans are possessed with powers to accomplish material things, they are not necessarily possessed with the “holy spirit.” Much of the physical healing of mortals is caused by powers bestowed upon them that are not connected with or proceeding from the holy-spirit. There is evidence of this because the Old Testament is full of instances of healings and wonders performed, at that time before the potential to receive divine-love had been restored to the souls of humankind.”

And here, I will explain again that the only function of the “holy spirit” is to deliver God’s Gift of Grace to the souls of the prayerful; those who are longing to become at-One with their Creator, or desiring to be born-again in Love; and praying to activate the innate potential of their soul, to receive God’s greatest Gift – Divine Love.

Jesus continues: “I understand the object of the preacher in attempting to show and convince his hearers that because they have not those powers, that the Bible describes as having been possessed by my disciples after the bestowal of the holy-spirit, that therefore they must not believe and conclude that they have not this blessing. His intentions and efforts were commendable, and arose from the desire that his hearers should not become disheartened and disappointed in their efforts to obtain the inflowing of the Love that the holy-spirit brings to mortals. But on the other hand, his teachings were dangerous and misleading to the hearers, for the natural consequence of such teaching is to lead mortals to the belief or persuasion that they possess this power and the “comforter” when they do not, and thus prevent them from seeking for and obtaining this “soul transformation” in the only way it can be obtained.

“The holy-spirit primarily has nothing to do with great mental or physical achievements, and so no one can say that because a person is a great inventor or philosopher or surgeon, who does things without knowing where the inspiration comes from, is possessed of the holy-spirit.” To be continued…
