Message from Jesus continued; 

“When human beings entered the spirit world and were freed from their animal appetites, then their spiritual nature again asserted itself. Many of these spirits became free from sin and evil, and in harmony with God’s laws controlling their natures and conditions, just as they existed before their degeneracy commenced. And these spirits, thus made free, and in their spiritual dominance, began to assist humans on earth to direct their wills in such a way as to rid themselves of this submission to these appetites, and to again become true to their spiritual nature and its development.

“These efforts on the part of spirits have been slow in their effects, and while humans in individual cases have been almost regenerated, yet as a whole the progress has not been as rapid as desirable. Sin and evil still exist in the world, and humans’ perverted appetites and desires still control them to a large extent.

“Advancement in intellectual qualities do not necessarily mean progress in the spiritual asserting itself over the pervisons of ones lower nature. The human will is not a thing entirely of the mind, and neither are these appetites and desires. Back of the mind are the affections, sometines called the “hearts desires” which are the seat of these appetites, and from which these appetites arise.

“It is not surprising that your scientists believe and teach the doctrine of the evolution of humans from a lower species, because in their study of history, of humankind and of the created world, they find that humans have developed and progressed amazingly from what appeared to have been their condition in some ages past. But history does not extend to the time when humans were in the lowest condition of degeneracy. So their conclusions show the progress of humans only after the turning point of their degeneracy. There is nothing to show of the gradual decline of humans from their condition of perfection.

“So, if scientists will believe and teach that humans, instead of evolving from an atom or some other infintesimal something, evolved from their state  or condition when they were at the bottom of their degeneracy, to which they had decended from their state of perfection, then they will be tecahing the truth, and their theory of evolution will have as its foundation or basis a fact, which it now has not- only speculation.”

From previous Blog; The appetites and desires given to humans were intended to work in harmony, and in such workings humans were kept from sin, by not violating God’s laws of harmony. But after the first disobedience – which is the greatest demonstration of the power of humans to exercise their will – and after they lost the great potential to receive God’s Divinity, succeeding disobediences became easier. And as these continued to occur, humans lost, to a great extent, the desire for spiritual things and the animal or physical part of their nature asserted itself.

Then, instead of exercising these appetites which belong to the physical nature in such a way that no inharmony would ensue – and here let me say that even after the fall it was possible, and even expected, that humans would exercise these appetites in the way mentioned – they indulged them beyond their proper functions, and increased such indulgence until they commenced to find, as they thought, more pleasure in such indulgence than in the thoughts and exercise of their higher nature, and in the aspirations which belonged to it.

This deterioration of humans was not sudden, but gradual, until at one time they became in a state or condition of bordering on that of the lower animals. In fact, because of this increased indulgence of these animal appetites, they seemed to be transformed into the lower animal; but yet they were still human – a being created in the image of the Creator.

From this position of low degradation or degeneracy, humans slowly commenced to progress towards the attainment of their original condition before the fall. Never in all this time was the free will taken from them or attempted to be controlled by God; but always the law of compensation worked, and humans suffered as they continued to creaate sin and evil.

As humans on earth continued to degenerate, and to permit their “animal nature” to donimate their spiritual nature, people died, and their physical bodies went back to the dust of which they were created, and their spiritual selves became inhabitants of the spirit world, where they were freed from the desire to exercise the animal appetites. Then the spiritual part of them again asserted itself. Many of these spirits became free from sin and evil, and in harmony with God’s laws. They then began to assist humans on earth to elevate their spiritual condition.

“The human soul was not the result of a slow evolution, as were other creations of God, but was from the beginning perfect: but soul’s did not have the qualities of divinity or immortality. The human soul did not evolve from a lower creature, as did the physical body (it’s not known how long it took this pair to reach perfection). When the soul incarnated into the bodies of the first mortal human beings, these creatures, from their earliest memories, also existed in a state of perfection.

“It was, to them, as if this creation had been instanteous, with no further evolution needed to make them perfect. Their physical bodies were perfect, as well as their spiritual bodies and souls. These first parents, God’s first incarnate children, were more perfect than humans are today, or ever have been since their fall from this condition of perfection.

“Humans had, in addition to these constiuent parts, a gift which, by their disobedience, they forfeited, and which was never restored to them until my coming, and which if possessed by them would have made them more than mere human beings. After their fall, and consequent death of the potential to receive the divine nature of the Father, they were in a state where they depended exclusively upon the qualities which they then possessed for their happiness, and for their freedom from those things which would cause them to lose the harmony which then existed between them and the laws governing their being.

“The greatest of all qualities bestowed upon them was that of will power, which was wholly unrestricted in its operations – although, when exercised in a maner which brought their will into conflict with the laws controlling this harmony, humans had to suffer and pay the penalties of such violations. But notwithstanding that these perversions of the exercise of their wills brought about the sins and errors which now exist on earth, God did not place any limits on this exercise.

“Humans, at their creation, had bestowed upon them appetites and desires pertaining to their physical nature, as well as desires of their higher or spititual nature, and they were all intended to work in harmony, not in antagonism; and in such workings they were to be kept free from sin. But after the first disobedience, succeeding disobediences became easier.”

“The Kingdom of God is populated by the souls of human beings who have experienced the new birth by receiving the divine essence of the Father. Jesus was not seeking to establish a kingdom on earth, but for the purpose of leading God’s children to a new birth of soul and showing them the way to the Celestial Kingdom. Such a condition of moral excellence may rightly be called the Kingdom of God on earth, but it will not be the kingdom Jesus came to establish – that is the Kingdom of Heaven. This Kingdom has its abiding place in the Celestial Spheres, from where it will never be removed.

“When or where the Bible teaches of the world coming to an end and passing away, it means the world of human thoughts and deeds, and sinful conditions that are not in harmony with God’s laws. This is the world that will be destroyed when righteousness shall cover the earth and brotherly love reigns among humans. Even today there are humans living on earth who are so separated from the world of sin that, as to them, this world has no existence. Not the material world, but the world of sin and unrighteousness is the only world to be destroyed.

“There shall be “wars” but they will be of the spirit of good and evil, love and hate, purity and sin, joy and despair, and of knowledge of truth and belief in error; all to be fought in the souls of humans with  much intensity and earnestness. Jesus has already come back to earth and is among the people, and since the time of his becoming Master of the Celestial Heavens, he has been here, teaching the Way, the Truth and the Life rebestowed. By the Holy Spirit have the Truths of the Father spoken to humans as the “still small voice” and by the communications from spirits, people have been led to the Love and Mercy of the Father.

“Prepare not for the passing away of the material world, but for the passing of yourself from earth to the great world of spirits. Remember that as you sow, so shall you reap, a certainty that will never change, a truth that no speculation can make untrue. The end of someone’s world comes everyday, for those who die; that end may lead to glorious immortality, or temporary darkness and suffering.” Amen

In a message by John, the apostle, found in The gospel of God’s Love, The Padgett Messages, page 293.

“I was present with you, and heard the preacher’s declaration about “the end of the world.” I know that among humans on earth, there are differences of opinion as to when this important event is to take place and what it means. In the first place, I will say there will be no end of the world from any of the causes mentioned by the preacher; and in the next place, there will be no “end of the world at all,” as understood by most of the orthodox preachers and as expected by most of the professing Christians.

“The world (meaning earth) will not have an end, in the sense of annihilation, it will continue to revolve on its axis, and to have seed time and harvest, and produce and reproduce those things necessary to sustain human life. And have its appropriate seasons, and move along in its orbit, until some change we know not of, may come and destroy it.

“If humanity would only understand that the “world” that was lost by the disobedience of the first parents (God’s first incarnate children) was the world of human beings immortality, not the physical world. Jesus came to restore the world of their possibility of attaining Immortality. Then they would know that the earth, or material world, was not involved in the plan of humans’ salvation, or Jesus’ Mission.

“Human beings will continue to be born, live their earth life and die the physical death; and to each individual person, the end of the material world will come when they die – for thereafter their habitation will be in the spirit world. Since everyone, at some time will die the physical death, why should it be necessary to include in the plan for humankinds salvation, the destruction of the material world?

“Such interpretations of God’s intentions, including the predictions of Jesus coming again to earth, are untrue. Jesus will never come to establish his kingdom on earth, for the Celestial Heavens, God’s Kingdom of Love, is where Jesus is Master and Prince of Peace.

“Jesus is working to lead humankind to a new birth of soul; he and other good spirits, by their love and guidance, are trying to help humans cast sin and error from their hearts, so the love of God will cover the whole earth.” Amen

I was reading a message about the resurrection, and it was becoming increasingly confusing. One problem is that the reasoning mind cannot understand spiritual concepts until some of God’s transforming Love is received into the soul. The writer was trying to help souls-seeking-truth realize that the common resurrection, which refers to a persons’ continuation of life in the spirit world, after their physical death, is not the “true Resurrection of soul” which was taught and exemplified by Jesus.

I have been prodded, by my guardian spirits, to attempt an explanation to help guide seekers onto the pathway toward at-Onement with our Loving Creator, and their true Resurrection of soul. #1. Desire to know the Truth. #2. Strive to do your best. #3. Be grateful for your blessings. 4. Learn to love yourself. It may be surprising to know that many people are not aware that they have very little self-love. The angels tell us that we cannot love others unless, or until, we love ourselves. That might account for the unhappiness, envy, jealousy, back stabbing and other unloving attitudes. God’s Kingdom of Love cannot be built upon these principles or qualities.

Since spiritual Truths cannot be grasped by the intellect, it becomes challenging to help dear seekers find their way onto the pathway of Love toward the Celestial Heavens. The true Resurrection as taught by Jesus, wasn’t able to be realized until his coming because the potential to receive God’s Gift of Love had not been rebestowed until that time. It was the gift-potential lost by the first souls incarnated  on earth, when they decided they knew a better way to achieve immortality than the Way God had set forth for them. They found out too late, that their way wasn’t right, when the privilege to receive God’s Gift of Love became lost, forfeited by their incorrect choice.

If you desire to activate the highest potential of your soul, you can do it by seeking Truth with heartfelt longings. Be humble and know you are a beloved child of the one and only Creator-Soul (Who is known by many names, in many languages). Spiritual laws govern the universe, you can activate your potential to receive the gift of God’s Grace and, if you haven’t already, you can start your journey onto the Divine Pathway today! Have faith in the Power of Love. Know in your heart that you are a beloved child of the Loving Father in Heaven. All that a humble person needs to do is sincerely pray for Love and Faith. Amen

Continued from Ann Rollins’ message, published in The Gospel of God’s Love, The Padgett Messages, page 246.

“When spirits became possessed of this knowledge, they commenced the work of trying to influence humans in such a way that there arose in them a longing for closer unity with God and an opening of their soul perceptions; as a result, many people in various parts of the world received this Love in their souls. The reason I’m telling you this is to show that God had no special or particular people; and that everyone could not learn from Jesus, if that were true, the majority of humankind could not have learned about the availability of this Love. Then it wasn’t difficult for them to listen to the explanations of those spirits who had received it.

“Now, from what I’ve written, it must not be inferred that the Mission of Jesus and his works on earth and in the spirit world are not important for humankinds redemption – for they are. It was not until Jesus declared the gift had been rebestowed and teaching the way to receive it, that either mortal or spirit could understand the existence of the privilege. The ministering spirits could not influence the souls of mortals to seek for the inflow of this Love until they had received some, which would enable them to understand its existence.

“And here let me declare a fact; that when Jesus preached to mortals on earth the necessity for the second birth, myraids of spirits heard these teachings and became possessed of this knowledge. Today human beings are attended by hosts of spirits of all kinds and the sermons and teachings of humans are often heard by more spirits than mortals. And such teachings have the same effect upon the spirits as upon the mortals. Spirits living in the earth plane are substantially the same as they were when living on earth, and an earthly friend frequently has more influence upon them than do other spirits.”

Note from the editor; It seems like a catch 22; “One can’t receive God’s Divine Love into their soul until they become aware of its availability; and they can’t become aware of its availability until they have some of  God’s Love in their soul.” It has been 2,000 years since the potential to receive God’s Gift of Divine Love has been rebestowed; hopefully, from now on, humankind will embark onto the Divine Love Pathway, by the multitudes. Amen 

Message received from James Padgett’s grandmother, Ann Rollins, found in, The Gospel of God’s Love, page 244.

I will tell you tonight of a truth, and I know that it’s of importance to all who may long for happiness in their future life. I am now in the Celestial Spheres, where there are no special lines of demarcation. It is not possible for me to tell you of the extent of our happiness here, for there are no words in your language which can convey a faint conception of this joy. I tell you this truth to show you and all humankind what is possible for you and them to obtain if you follow the course that the Father has provided and the Master has pointed out in his messages to you. The great instrument that causes this happiness is love – the Divine Love of which we so often write.

Humans, as you have been instructed, were not created with this love, and could only obtain it by their own longings and aspirations being exercised in the way that the Father had provided. But the great pity is that the first of the human race declined, or rather refused to pursue this way, and thought they were wise enough to know a better way. But in attempting to pursue their way, brought about their own downfall and lost the privilege of obtaining this Love.

In all the long years until the coming of Jesus, no human had this privelege, so it was not possible for them to find any greater happiness than what might come from their natural love. At the coming of Jesus, humans had again bestowed upon them this great privilege, and also the possibility of receiving the knowledge of the way in which this privilege could be exercised. This was not declared to all humans, however, for the territory in which Jesus taught and proclaimed this important truth was very limited and the great majority of humankind died without knowing that this great opportunity had been rebestowed.

But God did not restrict the bestowal of this Love potential to those who might be fortunate enough to learn of it from Jesus and his apostles. He sent his Holy Spirit to implant it in the souls of all humankind who might be in condition of soul aspiration and longing as to permit this Love to enter their souls. To be continued…

From Jesus, in The Gospel of God’s Love, pages 82-83.

“God is Soul, a thing of Substance with a Divine Nature, the Seat and Fountainhead of all the attributes that belong to our Creator, such as Love, Power, Life, Omniscience and Mercy. And here I’ll state a fact which may surprise those who believe and teach that “mind” is God: that which is called the human mind is not part of the mind of God. The human mind and all its faculties and wonderful qualities are special creations, just as are the spirit body and material body of God’s children.

“Humans were created in the image of God only as regards their souls. The mind was a specific creation, just as were the minds of lower animals, differing only in degree. If God had not given to humans a soul, and the spirit body containing the mind, when they died the death of the physical body, that would be the end of them.

“When God created humans by giving them a soul made in his own image, he also gave them the possibility of obtaining the Substance of His Divine Soul – that is, of having a soul, which was a mere image, become a soul having the same divine substance as the Creator-Soul. Humans, by their disobedience, lost that potential to receive the Gift of God’s Love, and for many long centuries existed without this great privilege. It, this soul potential, was again restored to all souls everywhere, at the time of my earthly ministry. So that now for 20 centuries (Jesus wrote 19 centuries because this message was received  in 1916) humans have had possession of this privilege gift of partaking of the substance of the Father.

“As souls seeking truth and love continue to pray with heartfelt longings, and become possessed of this Substance of the Father’s divine nature, their soul commences to change and lose its character as a mere image. As people continue to pray, the image disappears, and the divine substance takes its place. As this process continues, the souls’ at-Onement with the Father eventually becomes so complete that they become fitted to enter the First Celestial Sphere, an inhabitant of the Father’s Kingdom of Love. And just here occurs another thing: the mind which humans (both as mortal and spirit) had possessed up to that point in their progress, becomes the mind of the soul. Then and forever after, this souls’ mind enables the divine person to understand the things of God’s universe.” Amen

Excerpts from a message in The Gospel of God’s Love, found on pages 81-82, channeled from Jesus:

“When a mortal dies, the only part of them that dies and is left behind is the physical body, and with the spirit body survives all those things which are the real person. Hence, humans never cease to remember, to progress and to know that they are beings which death cannot destroy or change. So I answer the question: When a person dies shall they live again? They never cease to live, and it is not a new life, but only a continuation of the old life, with all the things of mind and conscience one had accumulated in their life on earth.

“In the spirit life, the spirit body continues to contains the soul, and will be its protector and covering so long as the spirit body shall last. This body also changes, however, by disintegration into spirit elements, and formation of new ones in their place. Spiritual laws differ from material laws and control the development of the soul which is the real person and resides in the spirit body.

“The soul is the real person, because it is the only part of a person which may become immortal, and the only part made in the image of God; and the only part that may become part of the substance of its maker and partake of His Divine Nature. I say may, for that is dependent upon a person’s free will choices. I know this possibility of the soul becoming immortal is true, for it is proven in the case of many souls who now reside in the Celestial Heavens. I also know that there are many souls in the spirit world’s natural heavens who have been there for many centuries and have never received this divine nature and consciousness of immortality.

“Another thing I can tell you is this; so long as the soul does not receive the divine nature, the mind, which is part of the spirit body, continues to exist and dominates both soul and body; and in its progress it may attain to a condition of purity and perfection such as were possessed by the first created incarnate souls. Many spirits are now in this condition; yet they are mere human beings, and their souls remain only in God’s image, nothing more.
